Personally i don't like extra Toolbars, i prefer to use as much monitor space as possible when i browse the Web, but i like Google Bookmarks. Fortunately i found this useful Firefox Plugin that allows to easily access Google Bookmarks without the Google Toolbar.
It creates a menu entry in Firefox using which you can add, edit and remove bookmarks. So, you can remove the Google toolbar and still use Google Bookmarks from any computer.
Needless to say, you need a Google Account to use this extension.
