MobileMeter is a small (41 KByte) and handy utility for monitoring some important parameters such as CPU frequency and temperature, battery charge/discharge rate, battery voltage, Hard Disk Drive temperature. Desktop PCs are usually designed to allow the OS to directly read the sensor values, but this is not true in most laptop PCs. Mobilemeter may be able to read the temperature even in such laptop PCs.
No installation required
After downloading the zip file, unpack it somewhere and launch the exe program. That's it. This program requires administrator privilege. This program uses no windows registry entry so simply delete it if you want to remove it from your system.
Configuration and troubleshooting
Use a right click to access MobileMeter Options. If the CPU temp doesn't look right, your PC may have more than one ACPI thermal zones and MobileMeter is reporting a temp not from CPU but from somewhere else, such as the chipset or graphic core. If this is the case, select another thermal zone.
